After her car breaks down in the middle of nowhere, Viana Young is given a ride by a mysterious man. He takes her to a seemingly deserted dwelling.
At first, oddities feel like random but explainable occurrences - a breeze through a window that sounds like someone whispering, the wooden floor creaking when no one is there, a half-finished drink on the table.
And then comes the inevitable: Viana glimpses herself. At first in fragments — reflections, echoes, shadows — until the other Viana emerges fully, confident, already at home in this space.

As the strangeness of the situation continues, the mysterious man listens to Viana without judgment but offers no advice. His calm familiarity suggests he’s seen this before. She is drawn to his wisdom but frustrated by his unwillingness to explain what is happening.

Perplection is his second film as a writer and director with a goal to tell an entertaining and thought provoking story.
Most recently Daniel wrote and directed the ultra short film Silent But Deadly Target, episode 1 of a 5 episode series.
